I’m definitely a creature of habit and my mornings almost always start the same way. A wholesome breakfast with wholegrain toast and blended fruit juice to create a healthy and delicious drink to kick start the day. To give myself a boost to start the day I blend one of my favourite juice recipes, green juice. The benefits of green juice include, increased energy levels, improved cognitive function, glowing skin, fast and easy absorption of nutrients, strong hair and nails and helps to alkalize your body (green juice is best for this) The perfect way to start the day.
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 cups kale
- 2 green apples, cored
- 1/2 cup parsley leaves
- 1 medium cucumber, quartered
- 2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
- 1 (1-inch) piece of ginger, peeled
- 2 table spoons lemon juice
Add all the ingredients into the Vitamix blender jug in the order in which they are listed. Blend the ingredients on the highest level setting, such as “liquefy” until the juice is well blended. ( It will be the consistency of a smoothie.) If you prefer pulp-free strain the mixture through a cheesecloth and wiring out as much liquid as possible. If you enjoy pulp with your juice pour the mixture into glasses and serve, . If you prefer a thinner consistency pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.

Viatamix 750 Pros & Cons
The Vitamix 750 pro, has a clip on lid which is thick and sturdy and clips down firmly in place. The clip on lid is great when blending hot soups. I have owned a few blenders before where the lid would pop off during blending, but you can be rest assured that the 750 Pro will not do that to you.
The 750 Pro is a power blender, this means it has no problem with large chunks of food. No need for cutting up of food beforehand. This can save you prep and blending time. I’ve made smoothies with whole apples, pears and frozen bananas. They all blend to a pulp without a worry.
The 750 Pro is easy and quick to clean – although, not dish washer friendly. You can wash it very easily by putting some warm water in it and some detergent if you wish and turning it on. Despite the very powerful motor the 750 Pro is quieter than most blenders.
One big selling point with the 750 model is the preset programs. Not all Vitamix blenders come with this feature. There are 5 pre-programmed blend settings on this blender, simply add the ingredients into your Vitamix, flick the switch and walk away. With 5 programs: frozen, smoothie, soup, puree and clean.
Only con is a handful of users noticed black specks in their smoothies. It’s hard to determine whether this is due to the fact that some users did not follow the cleaning instructions properly. Instructions are to clean the blender by running hot water and detergent through it several times.
Energy Drinks or Healthy Juices
Juicing is the process of taking raw fruits and vegetables and putting them through a juicer/blender machine, which extracts all the liquid inside without retaining any of the fibrous materials. The juice is packed with nutrients and vitamins that your body can easily access and digest.
Energy drinks (like Celsius naturals) are naturally sweetened and naturally caffeinated fitness drinks that are proven to accelerate metabolism, burn body fat, and provide health energy.
You can also include smoothies, but for me it has to be Juicing. Green juice has to be one of the most healthiest ways to kick start your day or give your day a boost. There are many health juices you can blend so pick the one that’s right for you.
