The Vitamix V1200 Venturist Blender is an excellent package deal. On top of a 64 oz (1.89 L) container, it also includes a 20 oz (591 mL) personal cup. That is definitely cheaper than getting the most affordable Ascent blender, plus the blending cup starter kit.
In terms of technology, the Venturist Series shares the same features with the Ascent Series. You can tap into its advanced settings with the Perfect Blend App, and its also compatible with all of Vitamix’s smart accessories.

Vitamix V1200 Features
Application
This is like a copycat of the ascent series, mainly made for Costco. Although “copycat” is a bit of a stretch. The point is, the Vitamix Venturist 1200 can do MOST of the stuff that an Ascent blender can.
In terms of blend quality, it’s on par with the higher-quality Vitamix Ascent blenders.
How about its usability? Let’s take a look.
Ease of Use

The Vitamix V1200 is definitely easy to use as there are only a few buttons to mess around with. But, it’s not “perfect” per se.
Here’s the deal:
Setting the timer isn’t precisely straightforward. It might get a little frustrating, especially if you’re going to use it a lot.
Let’s say you’re going to set the timer for 5 minutes. You’ll have to hold down the plus button for about 16 seconds compared to mere 4 seconds (Vitamix A3300 or A3500). You also have to press hard on the button because it’s not a touch screen.
Another factor is maintenance: Is it easy to clean? Totally!
The second thing you’re going to love about Vitamix blenders is how fast their blenders (containers) can be cleaned. You don’t even have to dismantle it. Most importantly, you can just run it in the dishwasher.
Technology
The Vitamix V1200 is a smart blender. It has 3 main features that you need to know: timer, wireless connectivity, and self-detect.
Let’s start with the timer. Most of the essential kitchen appliances have timers, so why shouldn’t your blender have one too? This feature is beneficial if you’re a multitasker in the kitchen.
With the timer, you can simply let it be and do its work. More importantly? It will automatically stop once the timer hits zero. You don’t have to worry about over blending.
Wireless connectivity is dominating all devices or appliances, including the Vitamix V1200. The question remains, is it useful? Yes! In fact, you can use this Venturist’s highest potential if you’re going to use the app that comes with it.

With the app, you can have 12 programmed settings. A simple tap will automatically set the timer depending on the recipe you choose. Moreover, the app comes with 500+ recipes you can try.
Here’s the deal:
Unfortunately, It doesn’t come with the Ascent’s sound dampening technology, so it’s loud. It can reach up to 100 dB, as loud as a motorcycle (and as the Vitamix E310).
It also comes with a self-detect, so any ascent accessory will work with this model.
